The Competition Douja d’Or 2012, now in its fortieth year, were 450 Italian wines DOC and DOCG awarded medal. The national award, recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which was attended by 250 expert tasters Onav (National Organization of Wine Tasters), divided into various committees, examined 972 samples of DOC and DOCG wines produced from 373 cellars throughout Italy. After assessment, the results of the competition were announced on July 2 at Palazzo Borello (Asti). The winning wines you can taste and buy at the 46th National Douja d’Or, scheduled these days (Sept. 7 to 16) at Palazzo dell’Enofilia of Asti.
 
Only 34 among the companies in competition have received one or more Oscar Douja d’Or 2012, special recognition awarded by the jury to the best labels in the race. Among the company Awarded with the Oscar: Enofanusa – Cantine Gulino of Syracuse with Don Nuzzo, Moscato di Siracusa 2011.
